Adding a new Sanctioned Application
Sanctioned applications are websites and cloud applications that are considered safe and appropriate for organizations. Administrators can add web applications to the Sanctioned Applications list to enable employees to access them. Defining the Sanctioned Applications list helps regulate the use of cloud apps and identify requests made to shadow applications.
Shadow applications refer to all the cloud apps and websites that are outside the purview of the Sanctioned Applications and Banned Applications lists. The built-in behavioral analysis capability will list all the shadow applications to be authorized or banned in the Shadow App Discovery report.
To add a cloud application to the Sanctioned Applications list, follow the steps below:
- Select Cloud Protection from the apps drop-down menu at the top.
- Navigate to Configuration.
- In Cloud App Settings, select Sanctioned Applications.
- Click on the + Add applications button located at the top right-hand corner.
- Enter the domain names of cloud applications separated by commas.
- Click on Review.
- If you wish to remove a specific domain from the list, select the corresponding checkbox and click the delete button that appears above the list. To add all the domain names, click Add all.
Note: Delete all the domain names that you don't want to add before clicking Add all. When you click Add all, both the checked and unchecked domain names will be added.
Click Go in the first banner below the domain names box to add web applications to the Sanctioned list from previous reviews.
Click Go in the second banner below the domain names box to add globally suggested web applications to the Sanctioned list.
Click Go in the third banner below the domain names box to add web applications suited to your environment.
