About Data Risk Assessment
DataSecurity Plus' data risk assessment module helps discover and classify files by combining content inspection and contextual analysis for sensitive personal information like PII, ePHI, and data related to the PCI DSS. With it, you can:
Perform sensitive data discovery
Generate reports on all instances of sensitive data discovered, their location, the policy they violate, and more by matching character strings or regular expressions.
Classify business-critical data
Use automated classification to tag files containing critical information with predefined labels, i.e., Public, Internal, Restricted, and Sensitive.
Enable content-aware protection
Profile files containing vital data and calculate risk scores by analyzing their vulnerability and sensitivity.
Reduce false positives
Calculate and use the confidence level value as filters to drill down and find reliable instances of sensitive files.
Use built-in data discovery rules
Use the predefined data discovery rules and policies to comply with mandates like the GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and more.
Initiate security response actions
Use our threat response activities to move sensitive files stored in unsecured locations or delete needless copies of critical files directly from the UI.
Supported data sources
DataSecurity Plus performs risk analysis across Microsoft SQL Server and SMB-based shares on all platforms, including Windows file servers and workstations, workgroup servers and workstations, NetApp and other NAS devices, and macOS and Linux devices.
