Updating gateway servers

Automating gateway server update

To facilitate a quick update of gateway servers, follow the steps below:

  • Select Cloud Protection from the apps drop-down.
  • Go to Configuration > Server > Gateway Configuration , select the target cluster, then click Manage under the Health column (within the Gateway Servers panel).
  • Check the priority of the update in the Manage Gateway Server page. It is highly recommended that the IT team immediately push out a major update. The team can rollout minor updates with lower priority as they do not pose a dramatic impact on the functioning of the gateway server. Click Install Gateway Server, under the Auto Install section.
  • To continue without authentication, click Install. Proceed with authentication if the service account does not have sufficient privileges to install gateway servers remotely. To proceed with user authentication, follow the steps below:
    • Click the key icon at the top of the popup, and check the Authentication required option.
    • Choose from Domain authentication (to use an existing domain authentication or configure new domain authentication) or Username-password combination (to provide the credentials of the endpoint in which the gateway server is installed).
    • Click Associate to continue with the installation.

Note: If the gateway server update is unsuccessful, retry by clicking Install Gateway Server. If the issue persists, write to us at support@datasecurity.com.
