Secure Gateway server failure
Follow the below steps to troubleshoot Secure Gateway Server connection errors, where the Gateway Server is an intermediary between the DataSecurity Plus server and the endpoints. For troubleshooting errors related to the Cloud Protection Gateway Server, refer to this page.
- Click Test Now and check whether the connection is successful.
- If you are unable to reconnect to the proxy server, check whether the proxy server service is running:
- Go to Start > Run and type services.msc.
- Right-click ManageEngine DataSecurity Plus -Proxy Server and click Properties.
- Change the Startup type to Automatic.
- Click Start.
- If you are unable to find the ManageEngine DataSecurity Plus - Proxy Server service, reinstall the proxy server:
- Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find the DataSecurity Plus Proxy Server application from the list and click it.
- Select Uninstall.
- After it is uninstalled, download and install the DataSecutiy Plus proxy server application.
- After installation, open the application.
- Enter DataSecurity Plus' central server name and port number.
- Provide the required details for local or AD authentication.
- Wait until the server certificates are installed.
- Click Finish to close the window.
