Troubleshooting
Understand and resolve some common issues you might face when auditing your CTERA NAS servers using ADAudit Plus.
1. The shares are not shown
- Ensure that the user configured under Domain Settings in ADAudit Plus has access to the shares and the audit logs folder.
- Check in Microsoft Management Console whether the shares are showing. Refer to this blog for more information on how to do this.
2. The server name is not accepted
- On the ADAudit Plus web console, navigate to Domain Settings in the top-right corner. Hover over the relevant domain, click Update Domain Objects in the drop-down, select Computers, and click Save. Wait for a few minutes and try again.
- If the issue still persists, enter the fully qualified domain name of the CTERA Edge Filer when configuring it in ADAudit Plus . Wait for a few minutes and try again.
- Ensure that the computer object is connected to the domain.
3. The log type is not detected
- The user has no access: Ensure that the user configured under Domain Settings in ADAudit Plus has access to the audit share.
- Failed to detect: Ensure that the log files are available in the folder.
Note: If an issue remains unresolved, please contact ADAudit Plus support.
