NAT Configuration

Network address translation or NAT is a way to map multiple local private IP addresses to a public IP address to help transfer information across networks. This helps in establishing a connection between the MSP Probe servers, located across multiple locations, and the MSP Central server. The Probes communicate with the Central server using the NAT name configured and will also be used during installation of Probes.

Note: NAT settings can only be configured in the MSP Central server.

Configuring NAT in OpManager MSP

  1. Go to Settings -> Configuration -> NAT Configuration.
  2. Choose the desired 'Protocol'.
  3. Enter the desired NAT name. NAT name is the public FQDN or IP address that you want to configure for communication.
  4. Enter the desired NAT port number. NAT configuration port is used to establish a webserver connection.

  5. OpManager MSP NAT Configuration

  6. Click 'Save'.
  7. Restart the MSP Central server to apply the changes.
