Enabling add-ons in OpManager
OpManager offers real-time network health monitoring and can be extended with dedicated add-ons for specific management needs. These add-ons integrate seamlessly with OpManager, enhancing its functionality and transforming it into a one-stop shop for all your network management needs.
The following are the list of add-ons, their features, and the steps to enable them in OpManager.
Add-ons and plugins
To enable or disable these add-ons, go to the Displayed Modules under the Settings icon found to the left of the profile icon on the top right, and check or uncheck the necessary checkboxes
Automate network device configuration tasks, ensure consistency across your network, and simplify configuration backups and rollbacks.
- OpManager comes with Config Management pre-enabled on the 30-day trial.
- Go to the Network tab -> Config Management ->, and click on the '+' icon to utilize it.
- Alternatively, find the NCM tab with sample data on any device's snapshot page and click on the link to get started.
Gain insights into firewall logs, identify security threats, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Head to Displayed Modules under the Settings icon found to the left of the profile icon on the top right, and enable Log Analysis (Firewall). This add-on will be available during the 30-day free trial period.
- Once enabled, go to the Network tab -> Firewall Logs and Rules-> Forward Syslog to make use of the add-on.
- Or go to the snapshot page of a firewall device from OpManager inventory, locate the Security tab with sample data. Click on the Discover Firewall, or Terminal/CLI, or Import Syslog Files links to start using the add-on.
Deep dive into network traffic patterns, identify bandwidth hogs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Head to Displayed Modules under the Settings icon found to the left of the profile icon on the top right, and enable Flow Analysis (NetFlow). This add-on will be available during the 30-day free trial period.
- Once enabled, access the Network tab -> Flow Analysis -> Click on Export Flow to utilize the add-on.
- Or go to the device snapshot page of any Netflow devices from OpManager inventory, locate the NetFlow tab with sample data. Click on the Export flow link to begin using the add-on.
Manage and track IP addresses and switch ports efficiently, detect rogue devices, streamline IP allocation, and visualize network topology.
- Head to Displayed Modules under the Settings icon found to the left of the profile icon on the top right, and enable IP Management (OpUtils).
- You can also enable the add-on from the IP Management module under the Network tab or the Port View tab on the device snapshot page, both of which include sample data and a link to enable the add-on
- After enabling, access Network tab -> IP Management and click on Add to utilize the add-on.
- Or go to the device snapshot page from OpManager inventory, find the Port View tab, from where you can manage switch ports for the device.
Monitor applications and infrastructure components including application servers, databases, websites, cloud resources, containers, etc.
- Initiate the APM plugin installation directly from OpManager UI by navigating to Applications tab and clicking on Download and Install button.
- Alternatively, you can go to Applications tab under Inventory, and click on the download and install button. The download option is also available in the Applications tab in a device snapshot page.
- After the installation process is completed, you will automatically be redirected to the monitor dashboard of your APM plugin console, under the Applications tab.
- You can also install the APM plugin manually for offline users by following the steps mentioned in this link.
Other add-ons:
During the free trial period, all add-ons are available by default. After the free trial ends, separate licenses are required to continue using them. Some features have a limit on the number of monitors available without a license. The table below shows these add-ons and their monitor limits.

A license is required to access this feature once the free trial ends. Note that, Failover comes bundled with OpManager Plus and Enterprise editions. |
Steps to apply license for add-ons in OpManager
To enable an add-on in an existing OpManager build, you'll need to apply a new license.
- Purchase the necessary add-ons from the OpManager store.
- You will receive the license file from our support team via mail.
- Now, go to the OpManager UI and click on the profile icon on the top-right corner.
- Go to the Register tab.
- Under the Apply License section, click on the Browse button to select the license file, and then click on the Register button. The license file will be applied now.
- The add-on will be enabled in OpManager.
Note:
For a fresh OpManager installation on a 30-day free trial basis, once the add-ons are enabled, they will be automatically displayed as separate module tabs in Dashboards, Reports, and Settings. These addons are functional until the 30-day free trial period of OpManager expires. Renew licenses accordingly for both OpManager and the add-ons once the free trial period is over.
