Add New Software

     

    Software(s) which could not be detected during workstation scanning along with new software(s) to be included in your organization can be added manually from Scanned Software page as follows:

      1. Click New dropdown and select Software option

    1. Specify Software details as follows:

      • Specify Software Name and Version

      • Select Software Type (Managed, Prohibited, Freeware etc.,) and Software Category ( Accounting, Database, Development etc.,)

      • Select Software Manufacturer (in case Manufacturer hasn't yet been included in the application, then click Add New Manufacturer Icon and add the same)

      • Select CI Type for the Software (Server, Database etc.,)

      • Specify relevant information about software in the Description field.

      • Click Add

     

    Add New Software Suite

    Group softwares belonging to the same manufacturer (like Adobe, Microsoft etc.,) by creating various software suites so that they can be managed easily and effectively.

    To add a new Software Suite:

      1. Click New dropdown and select Software Suite option

    1. Specify suitable name for the Software Suite (like Microsoft Development Software, Microsoft System Administration Software etc.,) and specify the version

    2. Select Software Type (Managed, Freeware, Shareware etc.,) and choose Software Category (database, development, operating system etc.,)

    3. Select Software Manufacturer (Microsoft Corporation, Adobe etc.,). This will list all softwares related to the selected Manufacturer as shown in the image below.

    4. Select software(s) depending on your requirements that will become a part of this software suite.

      When it comes to choosing workstations for software suite installation , you will be provided with two options:

        • Automatically discover workstations containing the selected software

      When this option is selected, all workstations containing all or some of the selected suite products [as specified by you] will become a part of the software suite being created.

      Note: The no. of suite products which should be present in a given workstation to make it eligible for software suite being created should be specified by you as shown in the image below.

        • Manually choose workstations which are to be a part of the sofltware suite:

          When this option is selected, all workstations containing at least one of the selected suite products will get listed, from which you can select the required workstations that will become a part of the software suite being created.
