Release Workflow
Role Required: SDAdmin or SDOrgAdmin
Release workflow helps you to customize the directional pathway to process release requests. You can tailor the workflow process for different release requests by adding stages, conditions, switches, notifications, approvals, and field updates to the workflow. For instance, you can create a workflow with minimal stages and minimal approval for emergency releases.
Using release workflows you can:
-
Define workflow process for different release requests specific to your organization.
-
Set up a notification matrix to track release requests at every step.
-
Associate workflows with release templates.
-
Provide privileged (role-based) access for technicians to release stages.
To add, view, and manage release workflows, navigate to Admin > Release Management > Release Workflow. You will be directed to the release workflow list view.
