Backup Approver
A backup approver performs approval actions during the absence of an approver. ServiceDesk Plus MSP enables users to self-configure backup approvers, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
A backup approver configured in one instance is applied globally to all instances.
Role Required:
- By default, SDAdmin, SiteAdmin, and SDCoordinator can configure a backup approver for themselves and for other users.
- Users can self-configure backup approvers if SDAdmin enables Allow users to configure their backup-approver under Admin > Advanced Portal Settings > Approval. However, they cannot configure backup approvers for other users.
